Removing Page Titles in Genesis Child Themes

Removing Page Titles in Genesis Child ThemesFor those of you who are using your WordPress as a website and are using a static page as the home page, there is a way to remove the title that shows up through manipulating your theme’s functions.php file.

Open Notepad and bring in the functions.php file from your WordPress theme.

In the functions.php file, simply place this snippet of code at the very bottom and replace the file in your host.

//REMOVE PAGE TITLE
remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title');

But, what if you want to just remove it from a specific page? Simply add this conditional instead.

//REMOVE PAGE TITLE
add_action('get_header', 'child_remove_page_titles');
function child_remove_page_titles() {
if (is_page(13)) {
remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title');
}
}

Replace (13) with the actual page # that you don’t want the title to appear.
